Comment:
I was born in 1976. I feel because of this, I missed out on alot of good music and I've done my best to rediscover this decade. I don't know if all of these songs were released in the seventies. But I do know that when I hear them, they give me a seventies kinda feeling. Hopefully you will enjoy listening to them as much as I have.
Feedback:
K-Tel it on the mountain!
Nice mix of legitimately great songs (i.e. Flamin' Groovies), camp classics (Bay City Rollers, Pilot), and truly terrifyingly bad 70's music that dominated my youth. Nifty art as well.
Yeah, some great ones on here...Grovies, ELO, Tom Petty, Climax Blues Band stand out here as the best stuff.
I'm with Popkulcher.
Lots of great stuff - my all time fave Nilsson and Abba songs and "Magic" is perhaps my favorite "dumb 70's" song (or at least my favorite to sing along with). Killer cover design and execution - the reverse text outlines really drive the whole thing home!
ugh, Paper Lace! There were loads of great things about the 70s, but there were some truly dreadful as well. You probably missed punk!
