Comment:

I've been mildly depressed the last week, so I made this mix to cheer myself up a little bit. It's mostly sunshine/harmony/soft pop from the late 60s, with a couple more current selections from the 70s. If you're a big Joy Division fan, you've stumbled upon the wrong mix, since this is full of upbeat boy/girl choruses, harpsichords and groovy lyrics. Gotta give a flower to recent MOTW runner-up Matt Hinrichs for the Free Design track. He helped inspire the mix as well. Here's a quiz : This English born performer got her start singing in an act on the above mix. Be the first to name the artist and you'll score a copy. Good luck!

Vicky Leandros???!!! AAAArgh!!! Otherwise, there's loads of really cool (& generally uplifting) shtuff here: Celebration, Klaatu, Osmond Bros., Sugar Shoppe, Nino & April (yass!) etc. And, eedless to say, we all (or most of us) should devote a little more time to the feminine complex . . . whatever that means . . . well, it's early in the morning, and . . . okay, alright, just forget it.

Neato. Of course, I'm hoping you haven't actually bought all the original albums, as that would be REALLY depressing.

Moe, you lovingly cultivated a fine mix here with lots of fragrant blossoms and very little manure. OK, enough with the gardening metaphors! Honestly, I'm amazed at all the wonderfully obscure groovy goodies you dug up here. It's nice to be an inspiration in such great company.

Hello Moe,
Isn't that Sundae Train track nutty? I can't stop listening to it. And of course, ROGER NICHOLS makes any day great. Lovely!
