Comment:

OK, the concept in this might seem a LITTLE thin. Of course I first made the mix and then chose the cover pic, but it matched the 60s space-age ness, best presented by the Harry Betts selections. They are form the late 60s surf movie soundtrack to The Fantastic Plastic Machine. It's music for late 60s airport lounges. It's for people flying to Hawaii, it's for people flying from Hawaii. To Brazil. To Mexico. To Japan. To Beirut. All in shiny, slick, modern jets. This is the type of music, it's space-age international exotic. Sportif. Young even. It's: "We came long way from the steam freighters going to Hawaii once a month, via Guadalajara." Get me? I found the picture at Randy's Bamboo Hut (which is on the web).
