Comment:

I've been reading "The Archaic Revival" by Terence McKenna lately, among other tomes. This has inspired me to forget conventional trends completely and do my own thing, musically speaking of course (Not that I ever needed an excuse to do that before). Hence, the unknown nature of the artists on this mix. None of these artists hit the heights of the charts, whatever benefits, other than monetary, that achievement may provide. However, they sound good to these ears and hopefully you'll enjoy this quirky mix of late sixties/early seventies psych/prog/folk/off the wall tunes. I am forever indebted to my great friend Valis, for continuing influence on my intellect. Peace and happiness to all my amigos on AOTM. Enjoy!

nice affinity track. something my father (the balding ex-hippie) would enjoy probably more than me, though.

You're right, all but a couple of these artists are unfamiliar to me -- but I'm certain it's worth hearing. I second your comments about the mighty Valis. He's a scholar and a gentleman, and I'm proud to have you both as friends.

I'm in awe! I've tried finding downloads of some of these guys on the net and have failed completely. I did find the Arupa artwork, however. What is Arupa?

I am very, very intrigued by all of this - the amount of musical education you get on this site is amazing, and I bet this sounds great.
