Comment:
After subjecting this site to the infamous Kids Rock! earlier this year, the Moe/Mohr allied forces have teamed up again for yet another mix. Bookended by two very different versions of Satisfaction, this mix contains some of our favorite renditions of songs written by the Glimmer Twins and company. Let us know what worthy covers you think we overlooked just in case we have the strength to do a sequel. Kisses go out to Valis, Sport! and Sean Lally for their contributions -- as well as Lenny for hosting the image. We love you.Feedback:
fine fine job guys I'm only missing the versions of satisfaction by Devo or/and Residents ;)
and I just stepped out of the shower and realised there were 2 great versions of Miss you the other year, one by Mirwais and one by one of Swedens finest Concretes
superb!!
This has "wow" written all over it.
The Del Rubios!!! That's rock n roll!
Marc Almond with the London Philharmonic - Paint It Black; big n lush. Fabulous. Very cool. Very kudos.

Fantastic!
This looks amazing!
This is incredible...and Girlschool as well!
Very nice.
This rocks, dood, Moe!
Mighty fine mix.
Monsieurs trTs bonne. Nice work indeed. Have you guys heard The Reggae tribute album to the Stones "Paint It Black?" One of my fav; reggae bands The Gladiators make a more than fair attempt at 'Time Is On My Side.' Though I have to admit, whether or not it's a good enough cover version to warrant inclusion on a 'Son of Lip Service' is a tricky one!
I got my Satisfaction, thank you both. Aotm's own Glimmer Twins, or is that Glimmung? (Extra points for the Miranda Lee Richards...)
Looks like a very diverse crew. I only know a couple. You can dream on me.
This is fantastic. I'll move our trade up to late 2004 if you'll send these along to me, my friend. ;-) Just keep me posted.
I'd like to spend the night listening to this!
Outstanding! Ditto Peter on the Concretes' 'Miss You'. And Gram Parsons does a nice 'Wild Horses'.
Great work guys, definitely an award-winning mix.
i only know 6 or 7 of these, which freaks me out man! missing my faves, the feelies' paint it black and thee midniters' empty heart. love the folksmen - saw them do this live! trade?
Lostinthemix is right: WOW!I gotta tell you, that Rotary Connection cover is the most intriguing on the mix!
Firstly, I'm really very late here, and a mix - or mixes - of this calibre really don't deserve that kind of shoddy treatment :) I especially love the second one (The Folksmen - yes!) and the inclusion of the Soup Dragons did indeed make me smile. Really nice work - you two are a team and a half!
Well, uhm, I'm later than Siobhan. Just in time to watch the clean-up crew sweep the floor. Oh well. You guys (Moe/hr) rock! The Stones have always been a bitter pill for me to swallow (too much the Rock Stars or something). Think I prefer them once removed and this looks like a spectacular collection of after market confections. Bravo! Now make with moe/hr Beatles cover mixes ;-)
