I haven't copied the show track for track. I figured everyone would already have

the Beatles, Dylan, Hendrix and some others. I've condensed it down to two cds,

and added a few tracksof my own choice in the style of John, and hope you

enjoy my tribute to the outstanding voice, ever, of British radio.

As you can see, John just played what/who he liked as many times as he liked.

He flaunted the rules and made us all musically richer because of it. Good bye,

John Peel........"Watch out, the world's behind you..........."

please forgive the text. I copied it from my notepad doc. I had a lot more to say, but had to edit because it was more than 4,000 characters

Yes, a great tribute. I'm sorry I never got to hear his shows over here but read lots about him and his influence on the British scene over the years.

I didn't have the pleasure of growing up listening to John Peel, but anyone who would put together a show like that (or inspire great mixes like these two) is a friend of mine.

I'll go with the comment of the Misfit. He'll be missed as his influence rippled across oceans, borders, ages, genre, etc.....

Excellent mix combo sir. Most of us in the States missed out on John Peel. I'll always treasure the cassette of one of his shows that a friend recorded while visiting London about 15 years ago. He played everything from Half Man Half Biscuit to Doug E. Fresh to the Primitives. And what a voice. He'll be missed.

I only ever got to hear John Peel but once but I'll never forget it - & these mixes remind me, that's what radio SHOULD be, COULD be -- but
almost never is . . . carry on, Gerry!

I was a little too young to have known much about this man, but it looks like both mixes have done him incredible justice. Way to go, because they look great.
