My annual Holiday comp, #'d edition of 50 in full-packaging.
This CD collection marks our 10th holiday installment in 7 years and finds itself in the usual mixed batch of musical company/taste that's misleadingly benign in places (as if you cultured, not easily offended, well-rounded folk would have it any other way!). Addled with a grotesquely verbose title, this release is largely comprised of vinyl 45-singles so there's a consistent 'crispy' factor present and the newer sounds don't have an overly modern sheen. It's a fun pastiche spanning 80 minutes and 3 dozen tracks, book-ended by SpongeBob audio.

You know the 12" Dancing Homer Simpson Doll that moves and sings when you press the button? Well, there's one dressed up like Santa Claus and he mangles Christmas dittys in fitting Simpson style. I actually had a friend mic Homer up (distorted audio, animatronic movements & all) and record these passages which I've sprinkled onto the CD in various places! Crazy.
