A mix of cuts representing a more detailed and introspective Ben Gibbard. The "Ben Gibbard 101" mix and this "201" mix both have 15 songs, but this one is over 10 minutes longer (even with two songs less than 2 minutes in length). Gibbard takes time to develop his songs and creates his melodies here and it shows. Not a "work-out" or "get-pumped" mix or a mix to entice listeners to Ben Gibbard's work. Recommended for advanced listeners...STEADIER FOOTING-dense song comparing relationships to nicotine...TECHNICOLOR GIRLS-i really rock out this song...ALL IS FULL OF LOVE-fierce drumming on a already great track...CHOIR VANDALS-gibbard whispers this song...BEND TO SQUARES-what a way to cut lengthwise...ARMY CORPS OF ARCHITECTS-beautiful piano...SOCK HOP-i really feel like hopping after this song...STATE STREET RESIDENTIAL-pre-"line of best fit" track...NOTHING BETTER-lyrical combat...THE EMPLOYMENT PAGES-i cant get this song out of my head...STYROFOAM PAGES-emotional and biographical...NO JOY IN MUDVILLE-a true fan's song...COMPANY CALLS EPILOUGE (REMAKE)-metallic, echoing, hypnotizing...LINE OF BEST FIT-love the angelic backing vocals...NATURAL ANTHEM-i love teh structure of this song. best postal service track...email me if you want to trade!

whoa...i just checked out styrofoam and im intrigued. this is exciting. they are described as "electonic pop." more postal service themed music?...im glad some of you guys appreciate these songs. new dcfc fans who think "sound of settling" is their climax make me sad. they really are missing out...i dont have a huge ATQ library. sorry. but im all over it next time i stop by my college radio station =).

thnx for the comments on my dc4c mix, i really should make a full gibby one. i made the last one right before the chords rerelease, so i didnt even get to use those much more better sounding cd versions, i was stuck with the old tape. it took me a while to get into transatlan, but i really dig it now. i think photo album is my fav tho. i've only just jumped onto the pinback bandwagon. pretty good from what ive heard. woo.
