Comment:

This is the first mix I've been able to burn under my own roof, thanks to a generous gift of an eMac from my wife and mother for Christmas. Those who know me are probably tired of my constant whining about not having a CD burner! Anyway, the recipient of this mix is Kathryn Hudson, an infrequent poster here, but someone I continue to trade with. She has similar eclectic tastes, so this was fun to put together. I relied heavily on fellow AOTMers for content, including Valis, SueEW, Stephen Royce, Matt Hinrichs and Orchid, who's vanished from the site after posting a number of excellent and well-received mixes. I hope I'm not forgetting anyone.

Very nice. It's hard to think of a better use for a new burner.

Looks fabulous. Love that Shins cover and that Stina Nordenstam tracks especially.

Burn, baby, burn! I'd be suspicious of the Brady bunch if they weren't in such exalted & diverse company, but of course that "L S bumblebee" sets the tone of quietly restrained good taste for all that follows . . .

I can just picture the scene now, Ion red-eyed & bleary merrily burning into the wee small hours as Yvette pleads with him to come to bed! TrTs bon Ion & kudos for the Tremeloes tune.

always nice to see a mix from the westcoast, My problems are with my new computer, the printer hates me, some programs refuse to work and I can't convert from mp3 to wav or vice versa, BTW lovely stuff

This looks fantastic, Moe. Always great to see a new one from you... and nice to know that Kathryn is still alive. I remember her well and fondly.

Very cool mix - seems like a bit of a departure for you. It's poppy, but just a little twisted. I like that.

Hooray! Glad to hear you didn't go over to the dark side. I'm also digging the Moe random mix, a species we don't see too often.

Fantastic inaugural mix, Ion. No more burning on the job? I thought that was a great way to stick it to the man.

As groovy as all your other splendid mixes, young Ion. I trust this renaissance shall lead to more brilliance on your part, good sir?

The twinkle must be the new computer.
Looks like a beautifully-strung batch of pop pearls, with-as Lally intimates, a twist...and we know Ion can do the Twist. What a great closer, those girls can do! (Nice in person as well...)

This looks really great Moe. Love the stretch from Tahiti 80 through Stina Nordenstam especially. Those eMacs are as shweet as this here mix. In fact, I think Apple should give away a copy of this mix with every eMac and you could give away an eMac with every purchase of this mix!

Almost missed this. Looks excellent as ever, amigo. Specially dig the Simian thru Brady Bunch stretch (Andy-f*ckin'-Kim!). And the Tremeloes. And Georgio (!). And the Supremes. A mote in my eye it ain't.;)

Hey Moe! This rules, comme toujours. I'm totally into Emitt Rhodes at the moment, though I can never remember if there are two M's or two T's in his name. I haven't gone anywhere... I'm just gearing up (Stone Roses-style) for my next mix, which will be site-shattering. My menudo key chain is serving me well.....
