Comment:

The idea for this mix came to me a few weeks back when I was listening to a late-night talk-in show whilst driving around in my cab. The presenter has a history of "Eccentric" guests. The guy featured when my ears were tuned was talking about how the govt were trying to make zombies of us all, and the steps we should take to avoid such a fate. Kind of like the guy in Alabama, who made a few dollars selling "Anti-alien-abduction" helmets. Like Bill Hicks says, "If I lived in Alabama, I'd be praying for abduction, and I wouldn't be fussy..........greyhound". Anyways, with me being the good-spiriting citizen that I am (or apparently I am a royal subject, as I live in a constitutional monarchy, but that's another matter), I figured I should do my best to alert people to the dangers of this aforementioned zombification. I have a feeling if you listen to this mix, it may help. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. It's either this mix, or the helmets. Enjoy! (This mix comes with a 30 day money-back guarantee against the effects of zombification).

Just to be safe, I'm going to wear an anti-abduction helmet while listening to an anti-zombification mix. No sense taking chances.

The coolest psyche mix you've done in a while! Great opening suite and it just gets better from there.

Oh, yeah, sure, you SAY that the mix will protect us, but I know that as soon as I listen, all those back-masked tracks will make me buy polyester jumpsuits and drink Tang. You can't fool me with such great bands as the 13th Floor Elevator and All Natural Lemon and Lime Flavors. I see through your charade, you pawn of the intergalactic fascist conspiracy, you!

Zombie: A being that behaves like us and may share our functional organization and even, perhaps, our neurophysiological makeup without conscious experiences or qualia.
qualia - The 'what it's like' character of mental states. The way it feels to have mental states such as pain, seeing red, smelling a rose, etc

Plural for quale. "Quale" is a technical term introduced by C.I. Lewis (1929). A quale is an introspectible and seemingly monadic property of a sense-datum. For example, the qualia of a visual sense-datum of a rose would include the experienced red-ness, and the qualia of an olfactory sense-datum of a rose would include the sweet-ness of the scent.
Jeebus! If they're not sharing our qualia I don't wanna' know...! (One would've thought Roky & the Aliens- I Walked With A Zombie would've been apropos.) Got yer' mojo workin'..? May need a lo-fi Dance of the Ju-Ju!

Oh man, oh man, oh man! I would LOVE to hear this. First of all, that is one of my all-time fave Mothers' tunes, plus really loving the Pink Fairies - Tomorrow and, of course, that opening threesome. Great title, great artwork, great mix. Excellent in every way.

If it's true the only way to kill a zombie is with a head shot, this sounds like a perfect prescription! Didn't know Peregrine Took recorded anything after he and Bolan went their separate ways.....
