Comment:

I'm a classic rock fan (growing up in the 70's will do that to you!) and I'm helping my 2 teenage sons to appreciate Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, etc, etc. In turn they have been exposing me to their, mainly punk, tastes. This is a collection of songs from the last few years that I really enjoy and will even listen to by myself, not just when they're around to impress them with what a cool dad they have!We also enjoy Avril Lavigne, but she wasn't really punk enough to make this CD, even though I used "punk" in quite a broad sense. And Linkin Park is also huge in our household, but they are not punk at all. If there are some names you don't recognize, like Tweak or Serving Suggestion, it's probably because they are South African bands. Punk is big here and the bands play often and have big followings at Skateparks and High Schools, etc.

I can relate. My daughter is a big Good Charlotte fan. I really like Me And Mia.

I don't know anything about these groups really, but I feel I should try to keep up, in case I get labelled as an old fart! This looks like a greta place to start, and I would like this in our next trade, Brian.

Well the majority of these are my favorite bands and songs, but they are not punk at all.

Me and Mia is fantastic. 18 and 20 are pretty good as well.
