Comment:
What a task... I have over 1700 songs on my hard drive from this period, and I had to narrow it down to just 20 or so, and without repeating an artist! Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Frank Zappa, Santana, Yes, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix, Free and many others were prolific during this period and many songs were discarded including Zappa's 'Willie The Pimp'. I was starting my teens around this time, so a number of songs are personal, though often obscure, favourites that affected my music taste forever. My all-time favourite song, 'Smoke On The Water' (the live version from 'Made In Japan') just couldn't be excluded. A number of the artists here (Santana, Deep Purple, David Bowie, Uriah Heep, Jethro Tull, etc) are still going strong today, much to my father's surprise (and maybe their own too)!Feedback:
I'm almost 51 so I hear what you're playing (saying)!
it's quite a club, isn't it??!!!
First class stuff, Brian! Hope you're well and the sun is shining in SA (silly statement) isn't it always shining?
