Mix #38, made in February of 2005. Book theme is Dean Koontz' Lightning, secondary theme APPARITION. The ending to the end track is the key to what this mix is really about...on the surface, it's about a struggle to find love that works out almost perfectly in the end. But the brief, dissonant ending represents my gripe with the book in question: it never felt the slightest bit realistic. Not because of the time travel, but because of the flatly perfect, 7th Heaven-ish characters. They were destined for a shallow 'happily ever after' existence, the kind which evaporates when the book is closed.
