Comment:
Hope you all enjoy this kinda folky thing, which dips into the blues a little, and takes the folk route to finish off once more. The last few weeks I have been plagued with ill-health. Nothing serious, just debilitating stuff I won't bore you with. Anyways, If I owe anybody mixes, I promise they'll be in the mail this week sometime. Take care everyone, and thanks to all for making AOTM the wonderful site that it is!Peace.
Feedback:
Lot's of this I don't know Gerry, but I'm sure it'll be good.
you don't owe me anything but I love to have this
As this contains one of my all-time favorites, Gene Clark's "So You Say . . ." (AND Wilson AND Big Star AND Lightfoot AND Grossman [!] AND Jansch), I can't possibly condemn it, though Joan Baez definitely is a strain on these ears. ;)
Excellent!
Looks excellent Gerry.
I agree!
Awesome. So many wonderful picks.
Listening to (and putting together) this mix should cure whatever ails you. Nice mix Gerry and stay healthy!
This is lovely.
Looks great. I hope you feel better.
This looks wonderful Gerry. Surf's Up is a song I truly love. 3 distinct parts, just like a mini concerto for piano and voice.
Nice selections here. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Really beautiful! Hope you're well soon.
Sorry to hear you're less than 100%, but glad to see it hasn't affected your mixing ability. This is lovely & I'd love to hear it.
Really pretty stuff! The opening trio of songs is killer. Hope you're much better soon.
I'm with Mohr.., especially on that Gene Clark with the brothers! Speed the recovery! (Haggis helps...)
This looks absolutely amazing, Gerry! I've really been enjoying your mixes.
Don't know much here... In fact, only 2 tracks, and one is Clark's - thanks to Mohr; I agree with him, valis, and you it's a great track.
Take care of your fine self Pal.
Take care of your fine self Pal.
The folks I know here I really like, so I don't doubt the rest of the mix is equally excellent! Nice stuff.
Yes, I'm with valis (the newly reinstated valis!)...'cept as regards the, uhh...Haggis.
;-)
;-)
Once again Gerry a fine lookin' mix..a speedy recovery to you from South Of Hadrian's Wall!
Ditto Peter--maybe we can do another trade sometime. I can empathize, I've been a little under the weather myself--will get my mix out to you sometime this week. Take care of yourself.....
Solid.
Sweet Gerry, like the look of this V much.
Looks like you were "ill" advised to post this mix. Good stuff from bottom to top Gerry. Hope your feelin' better soon.
Nice mix & glad to see you are on the mend. Always like to see the Dead on mixes. And as for the haggis, if you can survive it, then you are definetly healthy!
Really nice one Gerry & thanx for the kind words about Eastward Ho!
Looks great, Gerry!
cool. I love that Mexicali Blues song.
THIS is tremendously top-notch. Fantastic. More than worthy of the 30 (!) comments it's gotten. :-)
A fantastic, revivifying collection Mr. McDonald. Glad to hear you're feeling better.
Love this stuff - 1, 6, 10 esp.
