Comment:

A fun collection of unusual cover songs. I think my initial plan was to not have any band's songs being repeated, but I ended up with 2 Beatles songs and 3 Rolling Stones songs; so much for that. There's a few of these that are more obscure and somewhat hard to track down, but they're definitely worth seeking out: Guy Mann-Dude's "Paint It Black" is a ridiculously shred-heavy instrumental cover which a friend of mine discovered looking for the original, Bing Ji Ling turns "You Shook Me All Night Long" into Prince-style sex-funk in a surprisingly effective manner, and Billy Idol's rendition of "Heroin" has been dubbed by All Music Guide as "the worst cover of anything ever", but is so ridiculously filled with early 90's dance-music cliches that it's unintentionally hillarious. On a sad note, while trying to find the url to their track, I just found out Beatallica (AKA the world's best heavy metal Beatles cover band) were shut down by the man.

Gotta love the Anal Cunt. I've never laughed so hard in my life as the time my roommate and I discovered them in college

Yeah!!!
It's my belief that a song should not be touched unless the cover will do something completely different from the original. A lot of these tracks are ones I consider to be outstanding examples of this.

My favourite cover ever is here- Sonic Youth's cover of Superstar. There are some other great ones here.
