Comment:

I had this one almost finished before I was hospitalized. Just had to put some finishing touches to it before sending it out into the big bad world! Some familiar names here, and some tremendously underrated bands (IMHO). I saw a John Peel intro kicking off a recent mix, I think it was Hemizen? I hope Terry forgives me, but I really did have this ready to go when I saw he had the same idea. This mix seems like the type of stuff JP would have played on his late 60's show.

Title from the sublime Skip Bifferty track. By the way, The last two tracks are different songs but equally mind-blowing tributes to ipomoea violacea. Enjoy!

Looks great. I especially dig the stretch from the Creation through the Flies. Hope you're feeling better. As they say, this too shall pass (ouch!)

Hospitalized?!? I'm out of the loop. I hope all is well or that you're at least feeling better/on the path to a speedy recovery. Oh yeah, and this mix is fantastic.

Outstanding mix and cover (have you been playing with photoshop?) Hope your hospital visit is a brief one. Be sure to take advantage of all the psychedelic drugs you're entitled to during your stay.

Okay. I guess the hospital already let you loose. I don't read that well at this hour in the morning. Party on and happy recovery!

Sorry to hear about your painfull illness but this mix proves your back. Don't worry about the intro. I had it around for a couple of months trying to find a mix to use it on and it was a good tongue-in-cheek opener for the SXSW mix. I'm sure your use of it makes more sense than mine. Stay Healthy!

Wicked cool, per usual. I've been in 60s psyche mode lately, listening to a lot of these bands (though, again, you come up with some serious holes in my collection).
