Comment:
I decided it would be fun to try and make a mix that had the feel of a collection of obscure 60's tracks, without, you know, actually being a collection of obscure 60's tracks. I have to admit about half of these songs ended up being either reccomendations from other people or just things I found browsing the All Music Guide, but I kind of find it fun when that happens with a mix, since you also end up discovering more bands to check out in the future. And of course I had to throw in Spinal Tap and The Dukes Of Stratosphear, because it just seemed really fitting for a fake 60's compilation to involve fake bands. Oh, also, be sure to check the Konks song out, hearing it get airplay on a local radio station is what inspired me to put this whole thing together.Feedback:
Great idea! And what better way is there to kill time than browsing AMG?
ditto The Nightcrawler
good stuff
Looks great!
Great idea & mix.
This looks like it's a fun mix. thanks for the link.
Great work, old friend. I love current music inspired by the psych and garage recordings of the 60s.
