Comment:

...another year older and deeper in debt. A purely self-indulgent mix to celebrate my 51th birthday. I'm the guy at the stop light that you see singing in the car next to you. Some may say this is a guilty pleasure. I say this is what it is all about.

Most of these are great (no guilt involved): Glen Campbell, the Delfonics, Lovin' Spoonful, Nilsson and that unbelievably fantastic Hollies song, to name a few. I admit to begrudgingly liking the Eddie Hollman, Suzie Q and Barbara Lewis tracks, as well, and can kind of see the appeal of that particular Belinda Carlisle song, despite my better judgment. ;-) Gary Puckett, however, makes me want to remove all portions of my appendages one part/layer at a time...

Happy birthday! And since I don't have a car, I sing riding my bike. I don't even have a radio to excuse my behavior - and that Hollies song is one of my fave pedal-n-vocalize numbers.

Well, there's some really great stuff here e.g. Delfonics and some interesting choices e.g. that Association song & the Glen Campbell. Happy Birthday too.

I had my 51st on 3/27. Lots of these would have me singing loudly also ... just heard that Spanky tune in the grocery store the other day; it reminded me of my junior high crush, who remained a dear friend and died far too young.

Happy Birthday Terry! Sing out loud all you want it's right up there with laughter as the best medicine. Some of these tracks I haven't heard in ages.

Well, I'd say you've got a Groovy Kind of Love, of music that is. Best wishes on your 51st Terry; my 50th was two weeks ago (so I can relate to that song Sixteen Tons which hit #1 in 1955; i.e. "another day older", etc.). Maybe I'll make me a sing along CD too as a belated gift to myself.

Everybody should have a disc of "sing it out loud songs" in their car! I bet their would be less road rage...

It's a good job we've got no neighbours out here Terry cos "Didn't I Blow Your Mind" can be heard at full lung busting belt from me at least once a week (drives Freja crazy)I'd happily sing along to the rest of this too! Joyeux Anniversaire mon ami.

Yeah, Everlasting Love! I agree with a lot of the artists you chose, but I would take different songs for singing out loud. For instance, the Bee Gees would be I Started a Joke. gene Pitney would be Town Without Pity. And Johnny Rivers would be Secret Agent Man. Nice Mix. go to the grocery store and start belting it out in the frozen food aisle.
