Comment:
The second half of Jeff and Ellie's greatest songs, covering 1965-70. They may have had less chart hits than during the previous couple of years but they still produced plenty of classic compositions including "River Deep Mountain High", "I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine" and "I Can Hear Musiic". Tracks 18 and 22-28 (but not including #25) were written by EITHER Jeff Barry OR Ellie Greenwich after they split up, but I felt they belonged on this collection even if they weren't composed together (and besides, they were too good to leave off!). "Aretha" and "Got To Go Back (To Watch That Little Girl Dance)" - which was covered by Otis Redding as "Look At That Girl" - were co-written by Jeff Barry and the ubiquitous Bert Berns! (This is a slightly expanded version of the original mix with the addition of two tracks which were previously in "Part One" but they seem to fit better here!)Feedback:
Again great stuff!
Very good! You have obviously done a lot of work on this project and it shows. Kudos to you for shining a light on the lesser known names behind the hits.
oh yes
