Comment:

This is the last "man, remember the 90's? Crazy!!1" type mix cd I will make, I promise. You see, this WAAF station in question was the first rock radio station I found in the area (because it was only a couple dial turns away from the top 40 station I'd been listening since way before then), and this is kind of designed as a nostalgia trip through some of the more obscure songs that ended up getting played there and pretty much no where else in the area. The soulseek wishlist feature was invaluable in finding some of this stuff, as several of these bands only put out an album or so before dissapearing, and I took months to get enough of it together: A few tracks I intended for this I even stuck on the second 90's One Hit Wonders compilation just because I thought I'd never get the thing finished. A lot of these were things I hadn't heard since I was 15, so it was kind of interesting to see what still sounded relatively good to me and what didn't. For instance, strangely while there's several Stone Temple Pilots singles I just can't listen to anymore, I still ended up liking the song shortlived side project Magnificent Bastards did for the Tank Girl soundtrack.
