This is more of a mix my brother mahdishain would make. Artist left off this mix include: Johnny Cash, Blues Brothers, The Country Bear Jamboree,Tornado, Suzy Bogguss, Duane Eddy, Chet Atkins, Dean Martin, Fred Penner, Roy Clark and Gene Autry. No there will not be a volume two. This mix is dedicated to Gerry McDonald. One listening of this will smash to smithereens any kidney stone(s).
Feedback:
Interesting. I can't say I could listen to this all at once (a theme around here today for others), but quality, nonetheless.
Wow. Love the tune, but this might be a bit much. You should check out the Bob James version -- very cool. Interesting, as RC says.
I may be crazy, but you're mental! I was just on the same site this morning and got a few of these versions myself - would never have made the disc though (cuz I'm not mental).
Lol! Plain mental but who am I to talk?
Fascinating.
Great to see this, since I have been busy all day chasing a herd of red-eyed cows across the sky. Nice work Terry, you have gained a spot in the Exhibition "Never Too Much of a Good Thing."
Wacky! Well, I for one could definitely listen to thisa ll the way through, since now I'm going to have the tune in my head all day anyway. In fact I'd trade any of my mixes for this, if you'd be interested.
my favorite version is definitely the one with johnny cash and willie nelson doing it. excellent idea.
not the kind of mix i am planning to bring for the long trip up to the cottage. i listened to the lorne greene version that you sent me. what were we thinking?
see you soon.
see you soon.
the Ledge's live version of this is another doozy.
I Love things like this & I love this!Never thought there could be so many different versions.
I, too, love mixes like this. They're kind of like a post-modern verison of Bach's Goldberg Variations, the subtlety of change and interpretation is the whole story.
nice job! though might be exceedlingly weird to listen to in one sitting
Whoa! What a wild ride!
Wow, I'd love to hear this batch. Have you heard Los Baby's psychedelic version "Jitenes en el Cielo?" I'd be happy to send it along...I just figured out how to do that internet mailing thing.
Best,
Mike
