Comment:

Another summer, another Pet Soundalikes mix. I'm sure a few of you are getting tired of this series, but as long as I keep discovering worthy material, Pet Soundalikes will keep rollin' on like that awful Big Brother show. I have to share my surf wax with Chadzwo and Valis, who both contributed a song. And yes, that Kick On The Floods track is a Wire cover and yes, that's the same Gene Simmons who's in Kiss. Quiz time: What band joins the High Llamas and the Wondermints as being only the third group to appear on a Pet Soundalikes mix more than once? I'm not counting the Beach Boys, who help out Annette Funicello on "Monkey's Uncle." The person who buzzes in with the correct answer gets a copy.

Xtc, once as Dukes of .. and once as XTC, but will that counts ? BTW can I join this competition;), great stuff anyway, fantastic cover as usual, got your mixes the other day when I came home from a little vacation, love them (and my kids love all the seame street stuff too)

Good guess Peter, but that's not the band I was looking for. And since you already buzzed in, we'll have to give the other contestants a shot at the answer. It's one of the artists on the above mix.

the gary lewis and simon & garfunkle tracks are glorious! The rest, I shall assume, are at least something like remarkable.

Hey, you finally posted it!!! Does this mean that I'll get to hear it soon? ;-) (We've been talking trade for at least a month and a half, my friend... although, quite frankly, I may not be up for much trading 'til the middle of next month due to my impending residence shift). Looks great as always.

I will never tire of this series! This is a great addition to the series.
Your question it way too hard...I'm guessing Swag because it's a "super-group"?!?

This looks superb, as always, and I won't even ask how you came to be in possession of a Gene Simmons song.

The answer is Splitsville -- do I win? Super mix as usual, of course.

Awesome. I'm very curious to hear a Beach Boys-sounding Wire cover.

Another installment keeping the idea of eternal summer alive for those of inclined towards this music inspired by gods, made by mortals, and mixed by a man from Olympus. (He surfs there!) Thanks Ion! You magical Moe...

Unfortunately, my copy of this has a few blackouts, which makes for a somewhat jerky listening experience, none the less this is one bitchen lil mix, indeed. Bring out the bikini beautes and the frozen margaritas and get yesselves an earful, ffolkes. ;)

How do you keep on doing it? Glad to see Mr. Roe made it on the mix! Keep up the good work...I may try for a trade at some point.
