stop being perfect
Comment:
A little something for indie pop guru Patrick C. Taylor, who has always managed to charm the ladies with his magnificent mixes and his boyish good looks. This is my second attempt at sharing my modest collection of indie pop with the master. Of course I strayed a bit from the category, and I borrowed a few tunes from other mixes and a blog site or two. A pat on the back goes out to the nearly perfect P the Swede for hipping me to the Legends and SueEW for exposing me to Perth's own Bank Holidays (our own Saaf did the artwork for their debut EP).
Feedback:
looks great!
Nice. I love that Janet Bean track.
I LOVE the look of this. there's quite a lot I haven't heard - but wht I have, I like. Especially the TF, Bank holidays, Dinosaur Jr. and Spearmint (Spearmint!) tracks.
Hmmm, 1st mohr ovaltine...now mo' Moe. I guess, as Rick Derringer would say,
gimme' more !
gimme' more !
I don't know much here but I too, love the look of this! Great TF, Creation, Dino Jr. and Waxwings tracks!
I love the Dino pick.
Lots here I don't know which is great... more to explore.
Nice.Lot's of favourites on this.
Nearly perfect, wow I love the sound of that and it's a new Legends album on t's way in september, BTW this looks great as usual
I'm with Mr. Metadata on this.
Looks extremely interesting: lots of stuff I don't know!
A perfect beginning with the Waxwings and I'm sure it doesn't falter despite my ignorance of about half of it.That Razorcuts track is a splendid pick.
Poptastic as always, Ion.
Moe - Great answer on the Dead Man Brian Jones quiz. You da man. I was going to guess that it was a snapshot taken by Marianne Faithfull when she heard noise outside her window and opened the curtain.
I'm already in love... and I haven't even heard it yet!
nice one, Ion. Bitchin' cover too. :-)
a wonderful collection of pop tunes every kid should have. i was especially pleased to learn of the bank holidays and the legends.
good to hear from you, moe, and, yes, i'm still alive. we bought a house, i stepped up efforts to finish my master's, and otter pop radio got in the way. but things are starting to settle a bit, i may just make a mix or two soon. i commented here because this may be my favorite of the mixed you sent me.
