The only artists I have heard on here are Mazzy Star and Luna. what are the essential bands/tracks to check out?

Mahdishain, if you're falling behind, I'm mired in the last century. The only one of these artists I've heard of is Stereolab, and I'm not familiar with this track. Hemizen, you've outdone yourself, again. Like Steve says, what's the checking out priority?
