Righteous! Surf Music Mix
Comment:
This mix covers (almost) everything from original Surf rock to the Surf revival of the 90's. It's not chronological.Anyone listed twice either had a profound impact upon the genre or are simply top-of-the-tier as far excellence is concerned. The 25th song is the shape of surf music to come, and was released in 2000. Ernest Ranglin is a bonus track because it's actually reggae, but it features some absolutely sublime surf-style guitar.

Feedback:
Nice one GambleOn! (I'll get behind that Mermen assessment, too...)
No Beach Boys? I know only one of them actually surfed but some of their pre Pet Sounds material was still the best surf music, still great on, mix on surfer
To answer your question, Sherrard, I really just like the Beach Boys best when they WEREN'T doing surf music. Compared to everything else on the mix, their brand of surf music is a lot less riff and more about the harmonies, really. The tempo of this mix is pretty fast, so they would've killed the mood! Thanks for the feedback so far.
Looks good.A trade?
There is always room for a good surf mix and this is a good one.
well done mix.
I love the look of this - if you can be bothered to trade and fancy any of my back catalogue, let me know, I'd be interested.
Deep in Sean Lally territory! But exellent!
I'd ride this wave! P.S. I like your alias, it reminds me of gamelan.
