Comment:

I put together this mix CD as a tribute of sorts to the late Robert Moog, whom many consider the father of electronic music. Each song on here features the Moog synthesizer prominently (I think...there may be one or two tracks where I was wrong...feel free to correct me), in all its imperfect, analog glory. Pop this disc in and you can literally smell the circuits burning...as it should be! One thing I like about this collection is that it aptly demonstrates the many ways in which the Moog has been used in popular music, from sound effects to background instrument to lead lines to an orchestra in itself...and lots of my favorite stuff is here, too! I'm thinking of doing a volume two, which will lean a little more towards those copious Moog cover albums that came out in the late '60s and early '70s. At any rate, thanks Bob!

Amen (A-moog??).
I had heard earlier this week that Mr. Moog had left the room (now it's a little emptier). Nice tribute!

Nothing like a little Moog music to set the tone!
Love the Monkees, Beck, Wonder, Kraftwerk, & Summer tracks.

I was wondering if someone was going to do this today... Great to see you didn't leave out the Moog Cookbook (or the Rentals). I especially like how your picks span the decades - great work!

THis looks great - nice closer! Never really thought about what that was in the Beatle song, sad to say. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
