FINAL FANTASY VII: Fighting
Comment:
90 minutes long. This is tape 1 of my 2 tape FF VII set. Both of these roughly took a total of 1 month to put together. All tracks were taken from the official 4 cd international set. These 2 albums represent the best tracks from FF VII by Nobuo Uematsu, an amazing composer. Even if you have never played FF VII, these tracks are so rousing, and at times very touching. Anyone can get into this. Truly the best video game of all time. The first side contains all the best tracks that take place before the party leaves Midgar. The second side starts with the main theme of the game that starts as soon as you leave Midgar and the side ends with the parties temporary imprisonment underground. Best video game music ever, next to Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI. Look for FINAL FANTASY VII: Still More Fighting.Feedback:
I have indeed played this game. I believe that VII is, despite the fancy voices and groovy graphics of VIII, IX and X, the best FINAL FANTASY -- possibly the best RPG Adventure game ever made. It's hard to find fault with Uematsu San's compositions, so I won't try.
This is clearly a labour of love for you. For my part the titles remind me of the vast quantity of effort and time I invested or "wasted" -- depending upon your viewpoint -- in the magical world of FFVII. Has there ever been, before or since, a Video game that induced such empathy with its characters. I think not. No other gaming experience prepared me for the loss I felt at a particular point in the journey towards Cloud's destiny.
A mix based on a game soundtrack may well be a first here on AOTM. I'm fairly new to the community but I haven't seen one. You would not believe how long I was stuck at Gold saucer. I never said I was good, but I was determined.
I'll stop rambling now, except to say that you are right, this is stirring and dreamy stuff whether or not you know the game. Thanks for the memories.
