Comment:

I've been on a bit of a groovy 60s/70s instrumental kick lately, spurred on in part by recent trades with musicgnome, Matt Hinrichs, Nest of Vipers and Thomas Mohr. It's the kind of music that just leaps out of the speakers and grabs you by the eardrums, ya dig?

Exccellent OSTuff all around. Btw, that's Gert Wilden who scored "Madame und ihre Nichte". Which, incidentally, was based on a Guy de Maupassant novella called "Yvette". The gouty claws of fate . . . ;)

This is excellent I'm sure but I'm not really qualified to comment as much of it is unknown to me.This is more Kathryn's territory;it was she who introduced me to the wonderful Piero Piccioni.Hey,we're coming to sunny California in March by which time I will try to have acquainted myself with everything on this mix.

Many fine slinky grooves to be found here, Ion. I'm also impressed by the cover featruing some of my fave kid lit illustrators, quite a few who I recall as punk handbill artists.

I think you've possibly been listening to the same mix by Herr Mohr as I have, so I understand (and shar) your enthusiasm - this stuff is infectious! I'm always up for a bit of Montenegro and, of course, Lalo Schifrin. Very cool (and I love the cover).

Some familiar names but all unfamiliar picks. Looks like it could be great. Fancy a trade?

Don't know the songs, but looks totally cool. I've been, for some unknown reason, playing a lot of those Ultra Lounge cd's at dinner time, which drives my kids absolutely apesh*t (as they'd rather just hear American Idiot again).

I received this a few days ago Moe but forgot to email you to say thanks. Finally listened to it from start to finish and, yes it's a real gem. Cheers, and hope to trade again sometime soon....
