Comment:

90 minutes long. My companion piece to DEATH'S GREATEST HITS ( http://www.artofthemix.org/FindAMix/getcontents.asp?strMixID=97978 ). Like DEATH, the songs used on this album all had to have the word life in their title or a variation of the word life. The album cover and concept is based on one of Alfred Hitchcock's best films, and I think one of his most underrated, Lifeboat (1944). It was a toss up using Lifeboat or A Tree Grows In Brooklyn (no way I was gonna use It's A Wonderful Life). The album is rounded out by many different artists and song styles. Life On Mars by Bowie going into Alive by Punk is fabulous. Alive by Punk had to be included because it was inspired by KISS' Alive tour, 'nuff said. The second side opener of Cash covering the classic Beatles tune is tearful. Any retro fan that has never heard of Trans-X, get off your butt and find Living On Video... merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream...
