Comment:

I once put together a contest for a radio show that was a medley of 14 artists doing the classic Joni Mitchell song, "Both Sides Now" (only 2 people came close to answering correctly). I did some research and found there are over 300 recordings of the song, and this is 2-CD set compiling a selection of them. Most came from vinyl, and most are from 1969. This second disc continues with some more radically different (and some of the more annoying ones) versions of the same song. Highlights are Jason Falkner, Dizzy Gillespie's very cool version, and Joel Grey who makes the song sound really happy!
Once again, Joni is here, closing out the set in a way that can only be done 31 years after the original, and 37 versions of other versions.
