The P & M Show is a mix for my kids Parker, age 7 and Macey, age 4. They love songs that have catchy understandable choruses that they can sing along with. Westerberg's "Someone I Once Knew" they love because they can sing "sit your butt down". Not sure why they love Dolly Parton's "Jolie" but they know all the words. Tried White Stripe's version but they didn't like that one too much. Would love suggestions for future mixes for my angels.Feedback:
wouldn't that be "jolene"? i really like the nancy sinatra and elvis songs and the batman and monkees theme tunes! it's also cool that you put devo and prince on a mix for kids... i find that the TMNT theme is very popular with children, so you might like to put that on a future mix. you could try getting them into the white stripes again with "hotel yorba". they might also like a lullaby mix with nice gentle acoustic songs and radiohead elctronica-type stuff.
My friends' 6-year-old is in love with Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London".
