Comment:

I'm taking a trip to Tokyo next weekend, so I created this playlist for my iPod. Some of the songs are about Tokyo; some just mention the city, country, etc,; and others are simply sung in Japanese.

"Enola Gay" -- hmm -- Are you sure about that? Ah, I'm just miffed because you didn't include Bryan Ferry - Tokyo Joe.

I'd have included the B Ferry track if I owned it! (I did know about it).

And I don't mean to offend with the OMD track...it's just one of my favorites by them.

Aneka's "Japanese Boy" would have been a great-fitting addition. Maybe next trip. This is a neat mix, though. I like Japanese themes, in anything. I never would have thought to include those by Weezer and Oingo Boingo, but yeah, of course - too cool! I also really like Tubes, Lene Lovich, Vapors (naturally), Nick Lowe, Bowie, Japan, Alphaville...you really cover the spectrum here. Well done.

Yeah, I am a sucker for this stuff. And you got a lot of them in here. Be Bop Deluxe's Japan is nice if you can find it. 10cc's Tokyo is also a nice addition, as is anything from Van Dyke Park's Tokyo Rose album. Very good job. Have fun. Be sure and check out Shibuya on Sunday afternoon as it is one of the wilder scenes of the area and no doubt, right up your alley.
