Comment:

I made a 100+ CD set of every year of the 1980s last year (I also made 125 discs of the 1990s about 6 years ago). Each disc represents a specific time period/month within a year, so each year typically has 12 discs total, although some have more - depends on how much music I own from a specific year.

I brought a bunch of these discs to work today to listen to, including this one, which is disc three of 1985 - representing March (or around that month) of that year. It's mainly pop stuff on this particular disc. 1983 was my favorite year for music, but I have a weird, sentimental attachment to 1985 for some reason.

Wow! You have a probably unmatched '80s collection. Not my favourite period of music, but I do confess to really enjoying Frankie! Even the T-Shirts look good now!

I think this was bad year for music, but I still love that Yello song. The Bongos cut is a fave and I recently relistend to that Tears for Fears album and forgot how solid it is. Damn, this mix could make me rethink 1985.

I will be looking for the others, then. Nice. The '80's were the last decade of the one hit wonders, and a few truly great elpees slipped under the wire that just wouldn't make it onto the pure programmed pop for zombis of today, I'm afraid...
