Comment:
A young bass player friend of mine told me yesterday that he was currently into "Psychobilly". I asked him if he liked the Reverend Horton Heat. He said he was not familiar with him. This is my attempt to rectify that situation. I only have five of his discs so there are some omissions, most notably "Galaxy 500". Last tracks cut: "One Time For Me", "I Could Get Used To It" and "Sleeper Coach Driver".Feedback:
How can you be into Psychobilly and not be familiar with Rev. HH?
Wow this is dirty... and I say that in the most positive way.
I'll have to check him out!
Most excellent - I know loads of his stuff but have never got round to buying any. Maybe I should do that . . . i love marijuana (funny that!)
It seems that you do not own a copy of The Full Custom Gospel Sounds of the Rev. Horton Heat. Please drop me a line so we can rectify that situation. Do not get me wrong, you have picked wisely from the material at your disposal, it is just that I can not bear to think of a fan of Mr. Heath's going through life without a copy of the record of his I love most. Yes, I think that you must hear this disc in all its splendor, post-haste.
Count me among the converted.
I am so happy that I was turned on to Rev. Horton Heat by a couple of folks on this site.
Saw them at a free show downtown at the square a few years ago. Ran out and got a bunch of their CDs. Awesome stuff.
What Mo said.
I'm with Dom, & hopefully in the near future with musicgnome.
yep - great, great performer and hot-shit guitar player. part of why i play a gretsch nashville is the rev.
Anybody that sings song about bails of drugs falling from the sky is allright in my book. Looks Great!
Ah, the good Reverend. I have but one, The Full Custom Gospel Sound Of The Rev. Horton Heat and cannot suggest it enough, fans or soon to be such...How can you NOT love a song called Wiggle Stick???
Nice push, Mark.
What a great round-up of tracks - like quite a few people on here, though I could definitely stand to get more familiar with RHH. Time to start saving the CD pennies!
