I work over in the darkside - Quebec... I know I'm out of Ontario whenever I drive into work. Different laws to abide, more taxes to pay, terrible drivers, seperatist graffitti on government buildings and ignorant french music fans! Ok, it's not that bad, but some of my fellow co-workers know nothing about french music outside of Quebec. I made this disc for some them to show that their is quality french music outside of Quebec. Thanks to Barrydali for tracks 4 and 10 and locovinagre for track 8.

looks real nice, looking forward to the listen. I visited Quebec City when I was 15 and thought it was beautiful. but evil often is. I was young and had no idea that I had entered the dark side!

Good looking mix, Salman. Nice variety of picks, from what I recognize. But the car in the picture could stand a wash.

That Amadou and Mariam album has been reasonably popular around AOTM.

I'm with sammyg. was marking my favorites as I listened this morning and only three are without marks. my favorites of the favorites are 1|2|10|16. those Quebecians are a stubborn bunch though; I'm positive it will take a volume 2 to win them over entirely. please.

Absolutely beautiful. I'm always up for a bit of chanson a la Francoise Hardy and Brigitte Bardot...like the Air and great to see Noir Desir there too. I have a French-Canadian friend whom I'll definitely recommend this to!
