Comment:

One of my friOnds opOned up one of those trOndy organic coffee shops in a trOndy area in town - free coffee and tea for life! - and asked me to make some mixes. He wanted music from a diverse field of countries but they needed to be entirely listenable by everyone - whatever that means. So far so good as no one has complained! This mix isn't exactly diverse but the ones I made a few months back were and hopefully I'll put those up soon.
I know you're waiting in bated breath for those, but in the meantime here's this one: 77min:44sec

I'm sure this coffeehouse will be "in" place to be with mixes like this one coming over the sound sistem. I just used the Kossoy Sisters on a mix that's in the process after not having seen them around in a long time. They're quite good.

Lucky you-free beverages in exchange for music! Everyone benefits from the trade. Love the old and new, fast and slow, of this mix.

Oh, the memories that "Tous les gartons et les filles" bring back! I envy your free coffee and tea, I could really use that. And the rest of the mix looks fab.

The Leadbelly & Loretta are my personal highlights, though I do like the Sir Douglas version of In The Pines.

This looks spot-on for its inte_nded purpose. My heart races as I read the track list, though that could be from all the coffee...

This looks great Salman, interesting that youshould pair Nico and Neko together cos I automatically think of them both whenever I see one of their names crop up on a mix. Be a devil and ask for free 'Blue Mountain' coffeee ha ha.

Just so long as the "copyright police" don't stray in and spoil the mixplay. This looks very tasty.

first of all, thanks for the tip on a clever and unobtrusive way to get around the site's ban on words like Ond and dr(p. if this was playing at my local coffeehouse, I'd have to be hauled away in an ambulance after ordering 37 refills. I'd never want to leave for fear of missing the next great song! really wonderful assortment, with my favorites as Junana Molina, Neko Case, Francoise Hardy, Department of Eagles, Gang Gang Dance, Sunny Day In Glasgow, Dirty Projectors and the Kossoy Sisters.

I'll take a Venti of this. Perfect for drinking coffee (or whatever beverage), and that 11-12 set was especially cool.
