Comment:
19 DIFFERENT songs. This started out as a concept mix but turned out SO much better than I had expected. My first mix put together predominantly from downloads (The only thing that is going to save me is that I'm still on Dial-Up so each song takes twenty minutes.) I only owned 4 of these before I started this (a copy to the first person to guess which 4).I was contemplating doing a companion disc with "Hold On Loosely", "Hold On Hold Out", "Hold On Hope", "Hold On Tight" and such but I'll leave that to someone else. Artists that missed the cut: Dashboard Confessional, David Gray, Trick Daddy, New Kids On The Block, Reba McEbtire, Holly Cole, Mighty Clouds Of Joy, Sam Bush, Sawyer Brown, Shawn Mullen, Sister Hazwl, Wild Cherry, Natalie Cole, JJ Cale and Chicago.
Feedback:
unbelievable! I don't know any of these . . . are they really all different!
Yup, all unique, I almost guarantee you'ld recognize 2 and 17 and I'ld be surprised if you hadn't heard 3, 6, 10 and 19.
Looks great Mark, especially the Toots and the Waits. Keep on holding on.
Nice theme and execution, Mark.
Cool! This is exactly the sort of thing I've always wanted to do but my resources have never stretched this far - well done on this. Good Waits and Neko Case picks especially.
I know a pitiful two of these tracks, so I'm in no position to guess your four. Impressive stuff, though!
This very cool. And, I can't resist a quiz so I will say 3, 6 & 10 were in your collection, and 14?
Wow, I have flirted with the idea of a mix like this many times. It was always a little too foreboding, though. Well done. Pure balls.
Whoo - the only one of these I think I recognize is Sam & Dave's "Hold On I'm Coming", & that's not even one of them!
I'll take a wild guess in a desperate attempt to win a copy: 3, 5, 9, & 16?

Most excellent, no holds barred!
Cool! I once did one of these with mucho different songs titled Dance the Night Away. We learned something in statistics about the probability of picking 4 things in a pool of 19 being 1 in a quadrillion or something. But I'm gonna guess you're not a Limp Bizkit kind of guy, and say 3, 5, 12, 17?
hmmm.... everyone who has guessed has gotten exactly one right (which one could it be and how could they have guessed?)
How about this for a wild guess?
Numbers 3,8,13 and 15.
Numbers 3,8,13 and 15.
Still only 1... OK, so we've established that 3 is a yes and 5,6,8,9,10,12,13,14,15 and 17 are no's.....
The odds must be better now... what about 1, 3, 18 & 19?
3 out of 4
Well, that confirms it. You own a Wilson Phillips 7"!
lol, no. sammy. not at gunpoint!
You are so sick.
lol, kool idea.
1,3,16,19
Since I'm going to be knocked off the last 100 soon I'll fess up....Waits, Neko Case, Green Day and actually I do own a Limp Bizkit CD. Anyone who would like a copy of this E-Mail me and I'ld be happy to send one out.
You're missing John Lennon's version from Plastic Ono Band, but heck of an accomplishment
Thank you - an exciting package from you dropped through my mailbox last week. Much appreciated - and a damn good effort!
Ha, I must have missed this in '06. I too have OCD.
Hahaha, that is fantastic! What does it sound like, though?
