Comment:
I am thankful year round for many, many things but here is what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving around these parts: The Art of the Mix site, all the fine mixxers here, all the musicians that make my life ever so much more complete, and for the fact that Orphans arrived in time for the "Long Way Home" journey that i will make for Thanksgiving.Three discs of treasures to further explore during the twenty plus hours i will spend in the car this holiday. Everyone have a safe and joyous Thanksgiving.
Feedback:
Wonderful selections.
What, no Dylan? ;-) See you soon.
All the better for no Dylan IMHO! In France they piss on Mainstreet too!!! Some fine song selections here mon ami.
Yes, a wonderful collection for sure.
Great stuff here (still waiting on my copy of Orphans ... ACK!)
mark- i preordered. you are going to love it. i no i used one long that was already available but i love it and it seemed to fit. there are three or four other new songs that are just begging to be put on mixes. good stuff.
nice
Nice mix for sure.
Twenty hours?!? You have a good one.
Awww, what a lovely mix with equally lovely sentiments! Great opener and love the Thompson/Van Zandt /Jim White section there. Enjoy the journey!
Safe journeys mahdishain.
Sounds like a fine mix to have as you go over the river and through the woods. I think that Ian Dury song is one of the most romantic tunes ever recorded.
good stuff & safe trip.
This is a great mix. Happy Thanksgiving to you, as well, and I wish you a safe and enjoyable journey.
I'd be thankful for this playlist, it looks good from Tom to Tom . . .
(P.S. In France they miss on Caen street? )
THis looks really excellent.
Ha! Just when you thought it was safe. I missed this little beauty at the time. You know what, like some perverse version of the old centurion, in the Gospel story, I don't even have to hear this mix; I just know by the tracks list how thoroughly enjoyable it is. I also know that you arrived back home safely, despite such bravura musical distractions. Well done, that man!
Ah, that Joni Mitchell track... a gem. How about Raised on Robbery, with Robbie Robertson's glorious guitaring!
