Comment:
High School came along and mostly I was just trying to fit in. Popular Mid Seventies FM radio fare with some late Sixties revival tunes. Everyone listened to WLAV FM . Shanty was a local institution know as the Friday Song as each week it kicked off the weekend.Caravan was my first discovery. A local DJ loved them and played them frequently. LAV used to play an album in its entirety each night at midnight. I bought a tape deck with a timer so that I could take advantage of their generosity. I recently uncovered a cassette copy of Cunning Stunts recorded off a One A Day, complete with the DJ's warning to be careful pronouncing the title.I had my share of heavy metal male teenage hormonal music and I had the time of my life in High School (at least until I got to college) and this was the soundtrack.
Feedback:
This puts a good buzz on....
Once again proving that we've led parallel lives. 1 7-10 and especially 14 (my first rock concert) speak to me.
Aaah. Nostalgia. I wasn't even born till '76 myself, but some of these songs take me back..
i wasn't born until the 80's & some of these songs take me back -- cool stuff going on here
I love tracks 3-4, 7, 12, 15-17; I like 9-10, 14 and 18; track 2 is a lone guilty pleasure in the catalog of one of my least favorite rockers of all-time; I haven't heard 5 or 11; and the rest, well.... ;-)
