Comment:
Alright kiddies, here's the fifth installment of the AOTM best-of mix (favourite tracks selected by AOTM mixers). This would have come a little sooner but I was holding out and hoping for three mixers to contribute, but unfortunately they didn't come through for various reasons. Anyway, the sequencing for this was actually a lot easier than I thought, other than one or two rough patches. Thanks to all the folks who participated in this one. I had a lot of fun compiling this and discovering some new artists while wasting away at work this past week! I hope I presented this in a compelling way for you.Enjoy
Oh, and, here's the other volumes if you missed them: I, II, III, and IV

Feedback:
Oh bummer Salman, you didn't get The Bulrushes by The Bongos that I sent. Neer mind this looks fabulous my friend.
Damm we are good. I really love tracks 4 and 17.
I never got it, unfortunately, and I sent you an e-mail yesterday for a track. You were one of the three I was holding out for! Sorry Cliff. :(
great source material and sequencing too.
three huzzahs for providing links to previous volumes :P

Cool, All-stars! Gobi, Ozomatli might be heading your way - Via the US State Department! http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/music/la-et-ozomatli1aug01,1,2798887.story?track=rss
Another fine installment! Looks to have less obscurities than the previous AOTM best-ofs. I'm actually familiar with about a half dozen of these songs. And what are all those people on the cover looking at? Go home! There's nothing more to see here! And one moe thing -- I came this close to sending you a track by the Bongos.
quite thrilled to find myself in the company of Stompy Jones & Jay Reatard, & eagerly looking forward to a listen. Thanks for hosting the party!
i went on vacation and missed the party. it looks like you didn't need me. love 17 and 14 is a pleasant surprise in a time machiney kind of way. great mix. thanks!
Maybe it's lazy listening, but you have been hard at work. Thanks for the excellent ringleading here.
That is quite a motley band of ragamuffins. I mean the people in the picture, not the mixers who contributed. Umm, maybe them too.

absolutely the puppy's privates !
Damn ! I wish I could download this !
a terrific variety here, and I think their placement is nearly perfect. I mean the people in the picture, of course. but this mix isn't half bad either, with my personal faves at nos. 5 & 17. but that 14/15 pairing is pretty damn hot too.
This looks great, Salman. Really great. And I, for one, had fun contributing the least obscure and most mindlessly rawk track. ;-)
Thanks for putting this together, Salman, the result looks great! The idea of a lazy summer listening session sounds appealing, but not all that realistic for the next couple of weeks. Still, I look forward to giving this an un-lazy listen.
Totally cool Salman! Thanks for adding my Bros pick. And that picture- why, it's the Splitters! That's clearly Rob Conroy in the deerstalker.
I promise not to miss the next installment (if invited to participate that is. I've had a few time consuming and unpleasant situations I've been dealing with (of late)...and anytime I've attempted to upload a tune, I would get distracted with yet another fire drill.Regardless, the mix and contributions doesn't seem to suffer in the slightest. Particular tracks of interest rank 1 thru 20.
Shit yeah, man! This looks fucking stupendous. Honored to contribute to this one, my friend. Good stuff.
Hooray for everyone! Especially yourself Salman for conducting such a masterpiece...
Thanks Salman, I love how you've sequenced this, especially the final four (yeah I know my pick is in there but they sound like they belong)A wonderful testament to you and everyone involved.
cool stuff guys, love to be around next time
Excellent job, all. Glad I was able to participate. That 12-13-14 run looks particularly intriguing.
