Comment:

This mix is brought to you by the American dollar. Thanks to American housing prices continuing to fall on mounting foreclosures and a slumping economy savaged by debt and trade deficeits, the Canadian dollar is now worth more than the good ol' American greenback! But it won't last because it'll cripple Canada's manufacturing and export sector since so much of our trade is dependent on the US. So, with that, me and my friends drove down to New York State to do some shopping! Had to cash in on this. And so, this mix was listened to while we drove to upstate New York.

Rub it in. Rub it in. Was planning a trip to Europe with the girlfriend...until I noted the cost of a can of coke would cost $148.00.U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

Oh...this mix looks awesome. Track 2 is a fave of my girlfriend (as she noted as I was perusing, btw). This will sound great in my cardboard box.

It is true Mr Gnome, in many parts of Europe a gram of coke is cheaper than a can..

This looks typically awesome Salman, lots yet to discover but if the 13-18 stretch is anything to go by I'll be happy listening to this...

Great stuff here, my fellow Canadian. Oddly enough I found 2 bucks the other day in a box of rags. The only problem is it was American money. Now they're throwing it away! Why couldn't I have found that two years ago.

D'oh Canada! What the heck?! You come into our impoverished country and snatch up all our cool CDs at bargain basement prices. Thanks a lot ;) But seriously, it looks like you came home with quite the bounty. Hope you found room for liquor and wide screen televisions.

Good grief! Is there no end to the sheer cheek of those who dwell in the Northernmost lands of North America? Unable to cope with the indecisive nature of their own nationality and monetary systems, they now resort to taking advantage of the wounded U.S. economy. Is there no honour left? Is all Leonard Cohen's hard work to be undone by such shallow shenanigans? These and many other insubstantial questions are easily deflected by this excellent mix. Worth every cent it appears. What's that all aboot?

this tracklist has been sitting on my desk for over a month! finally put it on today, though the Times New Vikings track didn't come along with the others for some reason. Telepathe and Gang Gang Dance were both really unusual and wonderful; Black Moth Super Rainbow was great, as were King Khan & the Shrines, Quasimoto and that Rita Hayworth tune at the end, which is from one of my favorite Film Noir movies.
