Comment:
I made another mix for my friend Rosemary whose still bedridden in the hospital. This one isn't as upbeat as my last one as she seems to be actually enjoying her stay!I paired Outkast and the Wu-Tang together thinking she'd dig the new Wu-Tang song which is an interpolation of the classic Beatles track "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." George's son even plays guitar on it. I actually think the live guitars and drums works on it, although a lot of Wu-purists would beg to differ (and even members of the Wu). The last track is a total cosmic trip. Soooo good. Been grooving to it for a while... really hypnotic.
Thanks goes to Moe for track three. Enjoy the mix: 69min:35sec
Feedback:
this is GREAT - that wu-tang track is really getting me antsy for the new album - fantastic stuff as usual
Outkast is definitely my kind of hip-hop. Wu-Tang I only know from Wu-Tang Financial (Chapelle's Show), but looking forward to the rest!
A great listen. Love the 3-6 and 12-16 runs (not sold on the Wu-Tang track though.)
Poor Rosemary ! Still in bed after all this time . . . . I suspect that she will have cramp in her toes after listening and 'bed-dancing' to the full 9 minutes of Studio here.Faves for me are 5 and 13 . . . .
The brilliant Brunettes. Saw them live a few weeks ago. Dutronc, Dislocation Dance, Marine Girls, Saturday Looks Good.....yeh, great stuff.
Like the Beirut opener and there's a few tracks here I'd like to check out.
Excellent opening two, and I love the 12-14 stretch.. Props for the Outkast/Wu Tang paring also.. And a thanks to Moe from myself for that excellent DD track.. Great mix..
Love the OuKast, Black Dice (!) and Wu-Tang tracks.
Nice-- Outkast, Yeasayer, Nouvelle Vague & Wu-Tang!
have to agree with everyone on the excellent pairing of Outkast & Wu-Tang Clan. the Yeasayer was another favorite on this one, but a great listen over-all.
love that Wu tang clan song but a lot of the aother stuff suits fine too
