Comment:
I know they are the most commercial band in the world. I know they were the first band to charge a hundred dollars for a ticket. I know they are distributing their current album exclusively through Wal-Mart. I like The Eagles. Let me clarify. I like albums one and three. I like parts of four and five. Six is horrible. I have not heard the new one and I no urge to do so. I love Desperado. This started out as an outlaw mix. I originally had Dillinger and Bonnie and Clyde on the mix along with Jesse James and Billy the Kid. One day Outlaw Man by The Eagles came unbidden into my brain. I can't think of the Desperado album without thinking about Out of Control. I love that song. I pulled out Desperado and played it. It's a wild west concept album and I realized several of the songs fit the theme. Out went Dillinger. Out went Bonnie and Clyde. Perhaps I will make a depression era outlaw mix in the future. It was so hard to tell Brigitte Bardot she didn't make the cut.
So here it is, a 19th Century outlaw mix. It is interesting that criminals became American heroes with common folk protecting them and singers continue sing outlaw songs.
Feedback:
I hope this gets a long run....
I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man! Not 100%, but I will save the rest of my comments for my next mix.
Don't know that I can get behind the Eagles, but this is really cool.
I have to admit a fondness for alot of their stuff through Hotel California (but I don't own anything anymore, for some reason. Never replaced the Vinyl.) Interesting feel to this. Love the NROTPS track.
Didn't Robert Ford shoot Jesse James because he was listening to the Eagles? :D Other than that, great concept!
come on, man, i've had a rough night & i hate the fuckin' eagles, man...
that being said, i do love tracks 5, 10 & 12...

Nope Tom, gotta run you outta town for including The Eagles, that or throw ya in the slammer!
Like the concept, love the Jack Elliot and the NRPS, but I just can't stand the Eagles.
Better put a bounty on the heads of those Eagles.
Nice idea and great execution on it. A lot of my co-workers (men over the age of 45) all dig the Eagles and I've grown a soft spot for them.
I urge Salman to get a new job before it's too late ;). Can't stand 'em but everything else here is great as is the idea.
I've never been a particularly big fan of the Eagles, but I like the outlaw theme a lot, and your bringing Dylan, Guthrie, Springsteen and the Pogues all together in one place is righteously hip! Stick to your guns, pardner...
I'm with doowad, except for a couple of *very* limited, specific half-exceptions.
