Comment:

I was reviewing Saaf's annual AofM stats and was disappointed to find some of my favorite mixers near the bottom of the comments received category.
This mix is my attempt to give some credit to some of the most underappreciated mixers of 2007. Please check out these folks:

Shunn789- Does interesting themes and digs deep for rarities on single artist mixes.
here

Little Spencer Boys- Famous Christmas mixes. Check out his country rock series.
here

Krenzel16 - Single Artist Mixer Supreme.
here

Lemon_Currie - Extremely interesting movie clips and song interspersions that are hard to follow in this format but rewarding.
here

Liquidmoon1 - Poetic titles, beautiful covers, great mixes.
here

Texas Hobart - Country Blues Master
here

Abangaku - Dylan Reconstructionist, fellow Waits lover, and professor of musicology.
here

Lipstick Vogue - Poptastick.
here

If you are on the mix, thank you, and keep posting.
If you didn't make the list you are all ready getting what you deserve or I haven't discovered you yet. Give these folks some love.

I understand what you're saying. But: Art Of the Mix is a community, and with the exception of Little Spencer Boys, these mixers rarely, if ever comment on other mixes. The mixers who recieve the most comments are normally the ones that dish the most out. You get what you give.

Art Spencer is a truly great mixer and well-appreciated in these quarters, thanks for the others. I think I have only known of Abangaku before. Great job, Tom!!!

Tom, Take a breath once in a while. You can start a new line by inserting
or a new paragraph with
.

Nice mix. New Radicals is quite right; comments received and comments written do tend to correlate.

One of the best conceived AND best executed mix ideas I've seen. Very nice all around. Huzzah and to all those you've highlighted.

Liquidmoon1 was the only reason I joined this site ... at first anyway. She's ... not very active, but when she is, it's always dazzling and something I wish I could hug. Thank you for pointing her out for others.

Nice idea Tom, although truth be told I 100% agree with New Radicals.

Thanks to everyone who sent me instructions to make my comments readable. I understand the reality that New Radicals and his followers are describing. I also believe that most mixers are more likely to comment if they recieve feedback so I try to encourage the ones that impress me. My main purpose was to give members of the community another chance to check these mixers out if they missed them previously.

I applaud you Tom, a man of Good Intentions. Well done for bringing these mixers to the Aotmers attention.. Art Spencer is a great bloke & a fine mixer. And I'm a huge fan of liquidmoon1 - I'd like to see more of her mixes.
As for the rest, I'll be paying more attention in future..

Yup I'm with Barry and New Radicals here, if you can't take the time to comment on other people's mixes why should they comment upon yours!

Very cool idea! I will definitely check them out. When I joined the site I was one of the year's top "commenters" so when I put a mix out there I expected to get loads of comments. When that didn't happen I picked up my pride and decided I would appreciate the ones I did get. Point being: you don't always get what you give-welcome to life...

Thanks for the props :) FWIW, I agree with New Radicals. This site has introduced me to so many new artists and songs, and I have not given much back. But that doesn't mean that I don't (silently from lurkdom) appreciate this site as much as anyone else even if I am not an active member of the community. I appreciate all the comments I get (particularly from mahdishain), but if I don't get any, it is totally understandable. I am mostly posting my mixes to keep a record for myself.
