Comment:
I have a jukebox in my head and someone's out there spending cosmic quarters. I take no responsibilty for this mix, songs just come into my head, bidden or unbidden, so I thought I'd share. I find it interesting that sometimes I can tell the key thought that started the song playing and sometimes I can't trace the origins. Sing along if you like.Feedback:
I've had some of these tracks stuck in my head... I can dig this, well, atleast some of it!
well i certainly wouldn't mind quite a few of these playing in my head - the kinks & leonard cohen chief among them
Ah...love the randomness of songs that float into one's head. I usually need to hear the song a few times to get it out, so this would be a great remedy.
That's pretty crazy! I was actually thinking of using that Freda Payne track on my next mix.... I like the randomness of this, especially because I'd bet it flows very, very well.
Songs just sprout in my head and I never know what it'll hit me next. Love that Association song.
I was listening to Freda Payne just this morning . . . mind you, I've listened to a lot of music, just this morning . . . love the apparent randomness of this . . .
"Come Dancing" pops into my mind too.
I do that, too. I even wake up with a song playing in my head. These songs bring me back, especially 4 and 15. Cool idea for a mix.
Plenty of choice tunes on here. From ONJ (shhhh, don't tell anyone), to Freda Payne, of course. Along with the Monkees, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Neil Sedaka and Leonard Cohen. Looks like a fun listen.
bufo, i won't tell. i even like I Honestly Love You, although in my defense it is tied to a high school memory both sad and sublime.
There is medication for this kind of problem but on the other hand The Buckinghams, The Monkees, The Association, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, The Kinks....
Wow, hadn't thought of that Olivia tune in ages, the Cohen track definitely sticks to my medula oblongata. Love that Kinks track and can never get enough Gilbert O. Nice one.
Great Jukebox full of delights. 2-4, 11-14 and 17 being my personal faves/...
I've been carrying around a few of these for a long time myself.
Problem is, a song gets in my head and stays there for days, kind of like a jukebox that's stuck.
Nice to say RB Morris, who is a big favorite of mine, especially now that I'm living in his home town and get to see him often. He's a great guy to have a drink in between sets.

A pocketful of cosmic quarters and I'm leaning on Leonard Cohen at T-17!!!
Okay, I officially love this mix. If I were to add anything, it might be "Your Wildest Dreams" by the Moody Blues, but that's it!!
I love it Tom, Olivia and Gary Lewis without a hint of irony from one of my mentors. I love the Robbie Fulks and McLean and Cohen, oh, hell, I love it all. I am impressed about the number of mixes you put up while I was out. I think 2008 will be a banner year at AOTM.
