Comment:
I didn't quite make my deadline. I turned 50 last sunday, February 17th. Since I am too old for recieving presents (well maybe not since my son got me a guitar, now all i have to do is learn to play it), I thought I'd give you all a present. It's not the history of music during my lifetime. It's not a list of my fifty favorite songs or even my fifty favorite artists. It's one song from each year i've been alive that i enjoy and think that you will enjoy as well. thanks to everyone at Art of the Mix.Feedback:
(Belated) happy birthday! Obviously, there are lots of great tracks here, but I was especially overjoyed to see my favorite recording of all-time filling your 1966 slot. :-)
Happy b'day! Some undeniably great tracks here... Bruce, Dylan, J. Geils, VU, and Ricky Nelson being some of my favorites. Love the concept too - I've been meaning to do one myself for quite some time but it just hasn't happened yet.
Other than the fact that songs for each year of my life likely would not fit on two CDs, it is a fine concept. Now, if someone was to do a similar mix with songs they actually listened to each year of their life, that might be painfully embarrassing (in my case). Does Sheb Wooley singing "Purple People Eater" make you grimace, or what?
Well I hope you had a great burpday . . . this is certainly a great fun mix . . . of course, if I did something similar with a track for every year of my life it wouldn't even fill one side of a CD !!
Happy Belated! Spectacular! 2,6-9, 15,18,24 and 25 are personal favs.
Both volumes filled with favorites! Hope you had a great birthday!
Happy B-Day young pup! Great picks. I like everything here... except for mayby that parrot guy.
Happy Birthday!! These are some great picks. The first half of this mix contain some of my favorites.
Looks like you treated yourself to one heck of a birthday present.
hey, we share the same birthday!!! so double congrats & (belated) happy birthday to boot! this looks fantastic, & a very suitable way to mark the occasion - tracks 1, 2, 9, 13, 18, 22 & 25 are all big time favorites of mine, but i also like pretty much everything here that i know (with the exception of steely dan & jimmy buffett, sorry!)
what a fantastic idea, happy birthday
while I feel pretty wet behind the ears in comparison (haven't even gotten to my year of birth) there are a lot of songs I know and like or love on this, great mix.

Happy Birthday! And you can console yourself by knowing you're not the oldest Tom on planet AotM ( Nomates is about 52, he'll love me for that ).
Anyway, great picks - Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, BB King, Ricky Nelson - those were the days.....

Happy 50th! A nice mix to celebrate the milestone. Hopefully you'll learn to play all these songs on your birthday present :)
Where is the gift link?
Happy Birthday and thanks for the great present!
'58, what a great year. Happy birthday to you. Awesome mix.
looks like you got rhythm from johnny before you turned two, & never lost it. Looking forward to a follow-up double-disc set when you turn 100 . . .
Coolness.
Belated birthday greetings. Especially like your 60's choices.
Great stuff. I think my favorite here is #13. Happy birthday!
Great Bruce pick, I'm sure you did your brother proud with that one. I would have made this MOTW. Happy belated birthday!
