Comment:
Oscar, Chris and Stuart, making a compilation minidisc for one another every two months from now until... whenever? An audacious plan. Tucked away somewhere elsewhere on this site you'll find Oscar's volume one... Chris will hopefully follow suit. And here's mine. Fairly happy with it, hopefully I've managed to make the transition from genre to genre without too much problem. Track 4 is dialogue from the movie Blazing Saddles, in case anyone was wondering... Roll on July 2001 for the next volumes! Respect, as always, to Oscar and Chris, the recipients of this mix!Feedback:
Inspirals "DirectingTraffic" worthy of inclusion simply for that intro, with Clint Boon tinkling the ivories!!!
Baby Bird on Radcliffe, brought back memories of a classic year of gig-going. This particular version is esp memorable for Mark R scolding Hugh half way through the song and Stephen Jones laughing, at presumably Hugh. As for "Corpses" in my opinion, superior to anything on "Second Coming", nowhere near the majesty of key tracks on "Stone Roses" but worthy of inclusion on that album.
Cud sealed it Stu, a mighty piece of work...roll on July!
