I'm not going to say depressing because it's not, but this mix is definitely more downbeat and meditative than I had first intended. Normally each year I make this mix of nice stuff I've discovered over the year but I've known most of these songs for many years. They just seemed to go together. For all the years I've been making compilations, new ways of doing it keep coming along which change things. I made this by dropping the tracks onto a timeline and checking out how they interacted with each other. Some tracks overlay with others a bit like a sea of sound/megamix. There's 11 minutes left but it seems right to stop right where I did for some reason. I need to make an upbeat and energetic disc to counteract this one. Sorry for this extremely navel-gazing explanation.
