Comment:
120 min. Musically, its somewhat similar to previous mixes I've made this summmer, but at 2 hours length it covers pretty much every corner of my record collection. I tried not to use any songs I had used on any previous mixes (A New England is the only exception, one of my all-time favorites so I couldn't deny I). As far as the title goes, I kinda felt like this mix was telling a story with a happy, positive ending. Some side 1 songs are about relationship problems and such, but then I threw in a couple of happier songs to assure that everything was resolved. Side 2 is more concerned with political/social ills. The love songs prevail in the end, though. I'm especially proud of the "girl" hat trick. I guess I was having a good week when I made this mix too. It pretty much took shape as I was making it.Feedback:
I think we have matching record collections.
Fuck. So do I. I almost used "Sun God" just last week. "A New England" is one of my personal theme songs. "Prove My Love" is far and away my favorite Femmes song... I could go on and on. But the point of all of this is: why the hell haven't you gotten back to me about trading?! :-)
Actually, good sir, I may want a copy of this, as well as whatever it was that I mentioned to you about a month ago...
