Comment:
Although there's some duplication with other mixes of mine, I'm submitting this just because it represents a landmark in mix-making for me - it's the most professional thing I've ever done - I even wrote liner notes to accompany each song...(ok, maybe I had a bit too much time on my hands). It's also the latest volume in what got me started in making mixes for other people - I've been making tapes for my pal Edmund since the late 80s; I recently graduated to CD via minidisc, and this is the second CD. I'm quite pleased with it - although I got into some of these things a couple of years ago, it represents 'the best stuff I've got into recently which I haven't yet compiled for this person', and is a varied mix of pop-scat, moody soundtrack pieces, 60s pop vocals and instrumentals, and yes, Brazilian pop.
Feedback:
Galt McDermot's First Natural Hair Band. What a fantastically zany name. From where did you procure such an oddity?
hey. Well, tons of albums came out in the wake of the hit musical 'Hair', for which Galt Macdermot wrote the music. This is one of them, a pretty cool instrumental pop-jazz outing. Another is 'a divine hair mass in F' (?), also pretty zany...
Edmundo - I've recently joined AOTM, and found this mix by searching "Roger Nichols." Would you be willing to trade for this _unjustly_ undercommented mix?
Nice piece of work.
